Is Santa Clarita working on a specific plan for an Urban Core zone? It seems as though we lack the infrastructure to sustain our 250,000 people at the current time and let alone the potential of 450K in the future.

    • Planning says:

The City of Santa Clarita is comprehensively updating its planning and zoning regulations to make them consistent with the new General Plan adopted in Summer of 2011. As part of this effort, corridor plans are being developed to focus on the unique character of each community corridor. No development is proposed as part of this effort. The contents of this code, if approved, would apply to all future development if a property owner wished to modify or redevelop their property.
